Website Privacy Policy

This policy covers betelgeuse.studio, the website of Betelgeuse Studio LLC ("we", "us"). It explains what information the website handles when you visit it or write to us, and the choices you have. Each of our apps and games has its own privacy policy, linked below. If anything is unclear, write to us at hello@betelgeuse.studio.

The short version

  • No advertising or analytics cookies, and no third-party trackers. We don't follow you around the web.
  • Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs to deliver the site and keep it secure.
  • If you write to us, we use your message only to reply.
  • Fonts are served from our own site, so your browser doesn't contact a font service.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

1. Visiting the website

To deliver pages to you, our hosting provider's servers receive the technical information every browser sends, such as your IP address, your browser's user agent (browser and operating system), the page you requested and the time of the request. This information is kept in standard server logs, used to deliver the site, to keep it secure and to fix problems.

2. Cookies and trackers

The website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and it contains no third-party trackers, analytics scripts, social media pixels or ad networks. The fonts used on the site are bundled with it when the site is built and served from our own domain, so loading a page doesn't send a request to a font provider.

3. Contact form and e-mail

When you use the contact form, it sends us your name, your e-mail address, the topic you choose, the product you pick (optional) and your message. The form's content is delivered to our inbox by e-mail, through an e-mail delivery provider. If you e-mail us directly, we receive your e-mail address and whatever you write.

We use this information only to reply to you and to help with your request. We don't add you to a mailing list, and apart from the providers that deliver and store our e-mail, we don't share your message with anyone unless you ask us to or the law requires it. We keep our e-mail conversations for as long as they are useful to help you, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.

The website links to the App Store, Google Play and other websites. When you follow a link, you leave our site, and the other site's own privacy policy applies.

5. Children

The website is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through the contact form, contact us and we will delete it.

6. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EEA and UK, or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to your local data protection authority. To use these rights, e-mail hello@betelgeuse.studio.

Legal bases (EEA/UK). We process server logs based on our legitimate interest in delivering a working, secure website, and contact messages based on our legitimate interest in answering you (or to take steps you ask for before entering into a contract, for example a business enquiry).

We do not sell or share your personal information.

7. Security

The website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Messages you send us are kept in our mailbox, with access limited to the people who answer them.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. For important changes, we will also say so on this page.
